Do Not Use WiFi for Anything Sensitive!!

Until you upgrade your router.

We sent out a newsletter a few days ago with details on the WPA2 WiFi issue known as KRACK. Many newsletter recipients responded asking,”What do I do?”

Regarding your wireless router or access point, there is very little you can do until your manufacture releases an update (if they release an update.)

There is a possibility that older routers and access points will not get updated, and you will be forced to buy a new one. Even a new router or access point(currently sitting on the shelf) wouldn’t be updated yet, so wait a few weeks before going out and buying one.

The access points we sell will be automatically updated once a fixed is released.  If you want to avoid having to do the update yourself in the future, talk to us about an AllPro WiFi access point.

There is something you can do if you are a Windows user. You can make sure your computer has installed the following patches:

  1. KB4041676 for Win10,
  2. KB4041681 for KB4041678 for Win7

The most important thing to remember is:

Do Not Use WiFi for Anything Sensitive!!

Especially financial services, until this issue gets resolved.
